Like the communities, WWA works across sectors. We provide technical assistance and/or resources with projects in the domain(s) concerning the community.
Economic and Enterprise Development
WWA is focused on the inspired vision of the community leaders we work with. We partner with community leaders to match opportunities with unique community needs in enterprise, research, mentoring and special community projects. WWA provides technical assistance and support, often from inception to market, to help communities determine sustainable, competitive opportunities that they can afford to pursue. We strive to link local businesses with WWA communities and create mentoring relationships to assist unskilled workers gain access to jobs through internships and work training programs in the “for-profit” world. WWA also helps leaders and community stakeholders assess their own enterprise activities, competitive and risk factors like; cost of production and getting to market, coupled with risk(s) so that newer entrepreneurs have a better chance of pricing their products profitably and making it through their first years of business successfully.

Education Research and Awareness
WWA is working to enhance awareness around critical issues confronting the communities we serve. We strive to educate for sustainable and transformational change through key strategies, such as, education awareness, benchmarking better practices and linking thought leaders to broader networks.
Our great strength is the grass-roots community leaders with whom we work directly. We are proud to partner University of Illinois interns and graduate students with the wisdom of the Community Health Workers (CHW) for a ground-breaking study on poverty in HIV headed households in Kawangware.
WWA is proud to have initiated and continue to serve a world class collaborative research team made up of scientists in Kenya, USA and Canada who are interested in learning more about HIV drug resistance, its diagnosis and treatment.
We are honored to have either presented a poster or made a presentation of our partners and our conclusions at the Unite For Sight Global Health Conference at Yale University in 2010, 2011 and 2016, and with our partner Nyumbani at the African Society of Laboratory Medicine (ASLM) in 2014.

Enabling Mentoring and Sharing Relationships
WWA believes we have a lot to learn from each other, via face-to-face or through virtual exchanges. Today, we are facilitating the sharing of experience, friendship and information on an individual basis, providing technical assistance leader-to-leader in the field and from first world professionals to communities in the field. We are also piloting a school to school, pen-pal program, via internet secure websites. We plan to expand programs and hope to establish network communities where volunteers will have an opportunity to interact with communities in the field and get to know them as friends.
We believe that it is easier to share information amongst friends, making relationships important for the success of individuals, even in this modern "virtual" era.
