WWA is focused on the inspired vision of the community leaders we work with. We partner with community leaders to match opportunities with unique community needs in enterprise, research, eduction and outreach, mentoring and special community projects.
Enterprise
WWA provides technical assistance and support, often from inception to market, to help communities determine sustainable, competitive opportunities that they can viably pursue. We strive to link local businesses with WWA communities and create mentoring relationships to assist unskilled workers gain access to jobs through internships and work training programs in the “for-profit” world. WWA also helps leaders and community stakeholders assess their own enterprise activities and competitive and risk factors like; cost of production and getting to market, coupled with the risk that it may take longer than expected for a market acceptable product to be created, for internal or external reasons. These considerations are weighed against the cost of similar products in the market.
Like the communities, WWA works across sectors. We provide assistance with projects in agriculture, animal husbandry, textiles, handicrafts and the services sectors.

WWA is working to enhance awareness around critical issues confronting the communities we serve. We strive to educate for sustainable and transformational change through key strategies, such as research, education, awareness and benchmarking better practices and linking thought leaders to broader networks.

Enabling Mentoring and sharing relationships
On an individual basis, WWA believes we have a lot to learn from each other, via face-to-face or through virtual exchanges. Today, we are facilitating the sharing of experience, friendship and information, providing technical assistance leader-to-leader in the field. This takes many forms, including a ground-breaking survey done in collaboration with the Community Health Workers in Kawangware and University of Illinois interns.
WWA is proud to be a founding member of a world class collaborative new research team made up of scientists in Kenya, USA and Canada who are interested in learning more about HIV drug resistance, its diagnosis and treatment.
WWA is also piloting a school to school, pen-pal program, via internet secure websites. We plan to expand programs like this and hope to establish network communities where volunteers will have an opportunity to interact with communities in the field and get to know them as friends. Personally sharing insights and experiences with communities in the field makes sense, we all want brighter futures for this world's children.
